Sunrise, Sunset...






This is for Nancy.. Here are some pictures that our friend sent us with the sun rising over the beach in Wells. In one of them you can see the Bush estate in Kennebunk. The last one is of me and Melissa and I am showing her how to fold fancy napkins for our Thanksgiving in August party! Can't wait til next year!

    Karen, thank you so much for posting these pictures. Wells is truly beautiful. The kids asked if we could stay there next year. After you talked about it a few weeks ago, Andrew went online and got some information from the Wells Chamber of Commerce sent to us. Andrew wants me to ask you if you saw the Seals on the rocks just off shore? It's a great beach to beach comb on. We bought sand dollars for 50 cents each at a little gift shop. Andrew bought me a back scratcher. I have a little bursitis in my shoulders so that works for me. Thanks again. Nancy.

    Of course, I didn't get up early enough to see it myself though :)

    I didn't see the seals but Mark told us about them. I guess it's a great beach for surfing too. All his kids have wet suits.

    I love poking around those little shops too. Life is good :)

    Karen, Kelsey was glad to see bigger waves in your picture than we saw. We went at low tide. (which is great for beach combing--my fav) She loves waves and wants to learn how to surf. Now the kids want to walk up and get frapps (we call 'em shakes) and go to the arcade by themselves! I don't know about that....hey...does your friend ever rent his house out a week at a time? Nancy asked me to ask you. Thanks for the pictures.

    They don't rent out their house at all. They pretty much make it their home base for the summer and have a zillion people coming and going. Bill and I tried looking on VRBO.com and vacation rental web sites but they are pretty expensive. I think its kind of a hot spot.. I don't know how much that hotel/motel costs near the strip ???

    I'll check it out, thanks! We should be getting stuff from the Wells Chamber of Commerce too so that will help. Down here, I'm in the MSBL (Mens Senior Baseball League) and they have a division right in Portland and Kennebunk! Cha-ching!
